Hurricane News

Like much of the rest of the area, the Haggerty Center at the Arboretum is without power and so we are closed. We ask that you check here and on the Morris County Park Commission's site (http://www.morrisparks.net/) for when we are able to reopen. Good luck in coping with this storm's aftermath.

Lesley Parness On "Gardening Hour"

Dr. Lesley Parness, Superintendent of Horticultural Education for the Morris County Park Commission, will be interviewed on the radio show, Sudzin Country, hosted by Herb Sudzin. The segment is called "Gardening Hour" and may be heard LIVE on WRSU, the Rutgers Radio station, either on 88.7 FM in the Middlesex County area or on www.wrsu.org

The show broadcasts on Saturday, August 4th from 8 am to 9 am, so for our members who are up early on Saturday morning and like country music, this may be fun.

Video From Last Year's Plant Sale

The Friends 17th Annual Plant Sale has come and gone. Lots of beautiful plants found new homes, Members enjoyed the Friday afternoon party and preview sale, many more came to the Saturday and Sunday sale hours and were served by dozens of cheerful and hard-working volunteers. Through your participation, the Friends raised many thousands of dollars that will be dedicated, as always, to horticultural education.
