About The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Mission

The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum was founded in 1972. Its mission to support and promote the development of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and other horticultural facilities of the Morris County Park Commission is realized through the various programs, exhibits and trips which it sponsors.

At its 30th Annual Meeting, the Membership Chair reported 1500 individual and organizational members. The Friends also support the Frelinghuysen's horticultural library, staffing for a year round horticultural program and "Branching Out," a children gardening program and 2 horticultural interns.

Through their continuing commitment and volunteer efforts, the Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum foster and develop public awareness, knowledge and enjoyment of horticulture and the natural world.
