Designing Minds - October 28

Explore Design Elements for your Garden with a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers

Join us on any one or all four tours showcasing four different approaches to garden design at Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, the former home of Martha Brookes Hutcheson, one of America’s first female landscape architects. Learn how to incorporate this garden’s sophisticated design elements, such as alleles, axes and ha-has, into your garden, from these outstanding garden design professionals.

All of the tour guides are members of The Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). APLD is an international organization whose mission is to advance the profession of landscape design and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as qualified and dedicated professionals through a rigorous certification process.

Marc Zukovich leads this tour.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Botany from Drew University and certificates from Harvard Graduate School of Design and the New York Botanical Garden. Before founding Sterling Horticultural Services, Marc managed gardens in both private estates and corporate settings. As an Adjunct Professor of Horticulture at County College of Morris, Marc teaches classes in horticulture and has been recognized with the NISOD national award for teaching excellence.
