We had some broken links in the newsletter sent out a few minutes ago. Here is a corrected version. Sorry for the bother.
One of my favorite holidays is upon us, Thanksgiving. We get to spend time with our families, eat good food and generally focus on the really important matters in life. I hope your and your families have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
As always, the coming weeks are busy ones at the Arboretum. Here are a few items of note, but be sure to check out the full list on our Events Page:
Holiday Centerpieces for Kids
There is still some space available in the two remaining programs for different age groups of children who learn how to create their own centerpieces from fresh seasonal greens. The Thanksgiving program was lots of fun for children and adults. Sign up now for one of these terrific programs:
Buche de Noel for Teens (Grades 6+)
Another great older-kids program teaches how to make the traditional French Christmas dessert. Great fun, if a little messy, and best of all is the taste of this fine confection. Sign up by December 4th.
Is your space reserved for the happiest and best smelling exhibit in all of New Jersey? This runs from Friday, December 4th (Members-Only Preview Party) through Sunday, December 13th. See full details by clicking on the title, above.
Call Ann Abrams at 973-326-7603 to reserve your place at the Gingerbread Wonderland Members Only Preview Party.
Members-Only New Years Party
The annual Friends New Year's Party features refreshments and a presentation by guest speaker, William Dunscombe, on "The Horticulture of the New Jersey Pinelands." This members-only event is free, but you must pre-register in order to attend.
In addition to the party, Members will be asked to vote on amendments to the Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum By-Laws. Read more here on our website.
The plants and trees outside may be dormant, but the Arboretum isn't! Join the fun and sign up now for these and our other wonderful programs are our Events page:
