Must Have Plants for Every Garden

Don't miss this Saturday's talk and slide show by Plant Sale Co-Chair, Sue Acheson entitled, Must Have Plants for Every Garden. She will highlight many of the great plants available at this year's Best Ever Plant Sale and includes some really great slides.

Better yet, people attending the slide show will be able to pre-purchase from a list of 15 featured plants. Plants ordered then will be available for pickup at the Plant Sale in May.

So, remember to be there at 10am this coming Saturday, April 9th to see and hear about the plants and to get your order in early.

Remember, too, to follow our Plant Sale Co-chairs, Sue Acheson and Ilona Ontscherenki's progress putting together this year's plant sale on our Plant Sale page where you can see regularly updated articles, pictures and -- best of all, our On-line plant list.

The dates for the Plant Sale:

  • Friday May 6th (4-7pm) for the Members-only Party and Sale and
  • Saturday, May 7th (9am-3pm) for The Main Event.

SSSApril+May-thSalad Days of Spring

This Sunday, April 10th, is the next date for our Second Sunday Family Series. After a quick tour around the Frelinghuysen Arboretum to look at the early vegetable gardens in progress, families will learn how to and then plant a salad bowl garden to take home. April's not too early to get planting.

RareBookclasses-thArchetypes of Botanic Literature

Get ready for some goose-bumps as you explore the Rare Book Collection with Lesley Parness, Superintendent of Horticultural Education. Proceeds from this program will be used for the conservation of rare books. Join us Sunday April 17th for a tour of our treasure-trove of botanic literature in all it forms -- herbals, monographs, sylva, diaries and more, that await your discovery.

Save the Dates!
