We took a break after a very successful Plant Sale - Thank you to all of our shoppers and volunteers!

The Edible/Ornamental Garden

Whilst you are planting your summer veggies, please consider a place for them in your flower borders. To hear more about this way to re-think your planting scheme, register for The Ornamental/Edible Garden on Saturday, June 16 at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

Connecticut-based garden writer, author and lecturer Karen Bussolini presents a thoughtful and thorough lecture on landscaping with edible ornamental plants. Karen’s talk will include ornamental gardens that incorporate edible plants as part of the design as well as edible gardens that are beautifully ornamental. If you have been puzzled as to how to combine these two categories of plants, Karen will provide inspiration and valuable information.

To register for this program or for more information, please call 973.326.7603 or reserve on-line by visiting our events page.

Arboretum Leaves

Our summer edition of Arboretum Leaves just went to the printer. Be on the lookout for new program listings in early June.

Go really green and sign up for the electronic version of the Leaves, delivered to your email inbox. Just email Ann Abrams (aabrams@morrisparks.net) with "Paperless Arboretum Leaves" in the subject line.

The Story of Scent

A new cell phone tour, The Story of Scent, funded by COTY, Inc. opens in a few weeks – be sure to check it out when you are here next!

What's in Bloom At the Arboretum

There is so much is in bloom – follow in the footsteps of Phil Dahlen, our intrepid What’s in Bloom Volunteer with his on-line What's in Bloom list, updated yesterday.

Thanks to Master Gardners

Finally, thanks to the Master Gardeners of Morris County, we also have a small, but lovely display of blooms at our front desk. Each of the flowers has their location marked on a label, so you can quickly map out a floriferous walk.

Register for any of these online at our website or by calling 973-326-7603.

Remember that all our events can be found on our Events Page where, we are happy to say, you can register and pay on line -- just click on the "Add to Cart" buttons on our Events page and Membership page.
