Plant Sale

Our thanks to Members and friends who came to the Plant Sale. This is The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum’s major annual fundraising event, and your help is greatly appreciated!

The cold and long winter weather resulted in many of our suppliers being unable to fulfill our orders. We were disappointed, too, that a number of plants listed on our website were unavailable at the sale for this reason. Nevertheless thousands of happy plants are on their way to their new homes, offering their new owners years of upcoming enjoyment.

Thanks also to the hundreds of volunteers without whom the plant sale could never take place.

We do hope you picked up your Member Benefit plant at the sale. If you didn’t, Plant Dividends will be at the Haggerty Education Center all week from 9am-4:30pm.

Coming up soon:

Affiliate Program

Free and no registration required from our Affiliate Members: a program on Sinningia from the African Violet Club of Morris County on May 14 at 7:30pm

Matilda's Café

MatildasCafe_logo-150

This weekend, Matilda’s Café will be closed. This is because a previous obligation will keep caterer Christina Renfer busy baking for some other lucky folks. Next Mother’s Day she promises to be open.

The rest of the Arboretum -- grounds, gardens, trails and the Haggerty Center will be open for your Mother's Day pleasure.

Remember: Matilda’s Cafe hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am -5pm. Call 973-394-1100 for the menu and to reserve a nice box lunch!
