This Member’s Only benefit program features speaker John Danzer, legendary furniture designer and expert on historic garden furniture design. John has amassed many digital images and a comprehensive library on this topic, and has lectured at the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as addressing decorative arts, design and horticultural organizations.

Beatrix Potter’s Gardening Life

Fellow friend and garden writer, Marta McDowell, lectures on her new book “Beatrix Potter’s Gardening Life,” on Sunday, June 22 at 1pm. What a fascinating person Ms. Potter was, both a naturalist and a gardener!

Quelle Livres, Books of France in the Rare Book Collection

Speaking of books, “Quelle Livres, Books of France in the Rare Book Collection” has been re-scheduled to Sunday, August 17 at 1pm. What better way for book lovers to spend a sticky Sunday afternoon than exploring books from the 17, 18th and 19th century? Come away understanding what drove European garden design in those times and what a treasure our rare Book Collection is. This program is open to Members only, cost: $15 per person.
