Reciprocal Admissions Program

We had a nice note from fellow Friend, Patricia Fisher, who recently visited the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. Patricia wrote to tell us that she used her Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum membership card to get FREE admission there. You can learn more about the Reciprocal Admissions Program at http://www.ahs.org/gardening-programs/rap/find.

So, when you are packing for your next holiday, don’t forget to bring along your Friends Membership card and enjoy the benefits of membership at over 300 public gardens across America.

Summer Reading

Planning a trip “down the shore?” Why not bring a book or two to read. Our library has a wonderful collection of titles in many subjects.

Simply go to our Library page and follow the link to view the on-line card catalog. Send an email to lparness@morrispark.net with the names of the books you are interested in borrowing and they will be waiting for you at the Haggerty Education Center’s Front Desk.

How’s that for “concierge book service!”

Grow, Cook, Eat

There are a few seats open for some lucky foodies at Grow, Cook, Eat: Peppers, Hot or Not on Wednesday, June 18. Learn your way around peppers, in the garden and in the kitchen at this popular evening class, taught by Gwen Montgomery, Sr. Horticultural Specialist and Cynthia Triolo, Horticultural Specialist.
