Fall Activities in Full Swing
The next few weeks are jam-packed with programs and events at the Arboretum. Here are a few items of note, but be sure to check out the full list on our Events Page:
A free showing of the award-winning film, "A Sense of Wonder." It is the story of marine biologist and writer, Rachel Carson, whose ground-breaking book, "Silent Spring" is credited by many as starting the modern environmental movement. Don't miss this Thanksgiving gift from the Friends of Frelinghuysen Arboretum.
Holiday Centerpieces for Kids
Three terrific program for different age groups of children who learn how to create their own centerpieces from fresh seasonal greens:
Create your own under the expert tutelage of artist and teacher, Mindy Lighthipe.
Features an Opening Night Party on Friday, December 4th as well as open times from December 5th through 13th. This is a really big event for exhibitors, touring school groups, families and all our visitor, but we greatly need volunteers. If you can spare a few hours to help make this the best Gingerbread Wonderland ever, then take a look at the Volunteer Signup Sheet and let Marge Hulstrunk know as quickly as possible.
