 Spring is in the Air
At long last we have warm temperatures and sunny days! The plants knew it was spring, but now we can join in the enjoyment too. I took the pictures at right (click on it for a larger image) a couple of weeks ago at the Arboretum. Today, all the trees are leafing out, spring bulbs have popped up all over and many spring-blooming trees have joined the early-bloomers shown here.
Phil Dahlen, our volunteer of many years, has begun his bi-weekly What's in Bloom list which we are happy to share with you. Take a few minutes from your busy schedules and walk around the Frelinghuysen Arboretum soon. Nature's splendor is worth pausing for regularly.
Plant Sale in Two Weeks
The biggest, best plant sale ever opens in the tent Friday afternoon and evening, May 6th (4-7pm) for the Members-only Party and Sale and continues Saturday, May 7th (9am-3pm) for The Main Event.
We have hundreds of different kinds of annuals, perennials, ferns and shrubs, all of which are listed on our On-line Plant List which we encourage you to use for planning your purchases.
