Take advantage of all the great events at the Arboretum this Summer. See them all on the Events page of our website. Browse them there and sign up on-line while there is still room.

Dahlia Show

The Dahlia Society's show will be held on Saturday, August 20th, FREE and open to the public from 1 to 3pm.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own dahlias from home for judging in the morning. Or just mosey by to admire these splendid flowers on display and soak up knowledge from the folks who grow them.

September Serenade

Haven't bought your tickets yet for September Serenade on Sunday, September 18th? Here's the updated list of music and refreshments to convince you of what a great afternoon we are planning:

1. Chamber Music at Marsh Meadow with imported cheeses, crackers, fig preserves & sparkling Rose wine.
2. Latino Music on Sylvan Terrace and a variety of empanadas & Sangria.
3. Caribbean Music at the Scherer Garden Pavilion with Jamaican jerk shrimp & Mohito mocktails.
4. Bluegrass on the Great Lawn with BBQ pork ribs & southern sweet tea.
5. Jazz in the Cottage Garden and olive tapanade & goat cheese on crusty bread & Proseco.

A limited number of tickets will be sold, so use Paypal on our website now to get yours or send your check in today!

September is around the corner -- if you have always wanted to try making a pressed flower project, we have a fabulous teacher here on Saturday, September 10.

Lizabeth Billingsley is an award-winning artist with a penchant for pressing! Bring a friend or your favorite youngster (ages 9+) along to our Pressed Flower Art Workshop for a special afternoon and go home with your own pressed flower design, ready for framing and showing off, and the knowledge and confidence to continue on.

The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum's 40th Anniversary Party invitations are in the mail. Be on the lookout for yours. If you are not a member, visit the website for information about this very special evening on October 2.
