Programs at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum are as varied as the Spring Blooms:8 Days Until the 17th Annual Plant SaleOkay fellow plant lovers: print out your copy of the Plant Sale list and sharpen your pencils. Remember to pick up your Plant Dividend on Friday night, or Saturday or Sunday at the Plant Sale. You can also get them during the following Monday- Friday at the Haggerty Education Center (while supplies last) Annual MeetingNow is the time to register for the ANNUAL MEETING on Sunday, June 10. Yes, it’s free, but with KEN DRUSE as our speaker and a marvelous array of comestibles, seating is limited — so register now and hold your place at this program! Planting a Strawberry Jar with HerbsThe Plant a Strawberry Jar class on Saturday is filled, but there are still a few places in the Wednesday, May 16 evening class. Pizza and Focaccia Cooking ClassLikewise, there are a few open spots in this weekend’s Pizza and Focaccia class. Chef Cynthia has been trying out her recipes here at work. Yes, it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it! What's in Bloom At the ArboretumPlease note: Mr. Phil Dahlen is back at work, walking the grounds and noting what is in bloom. See his list (What's in Bloom) and be sure to use it as a guide when you are next strolling the grounds. Register for any of these online at our website or by calling 973-326-7603.VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!Our Volunteer Coordinator, Marge Hulstrunk, writes that she would love to hear from you if you are willing to help out at this year's Plant Sale. As it expands, we need more volunteers to serve all our visitors. As a long-time volunteer myself, I cannot say strongly enough what a wonderful job being a volunteer is.
