Gingerbread WonderlandThis year especially, we will be cheered and warmed by the Gingerbread Wonderland Exhibit. Hundreds of people – adults and children alike share their creative spirit with us all thru their very personal entries. Have you made your reservation for the Gingerbread Wonderland Members Only Preview Party? It’s one of the many benefits of membership in the Friends. Please do so now, so that we can prepare holiday cookies and cocoa for you! Remember, too, that the gingerbread house entry deadline has been extended to Friday, November 23rd so sign up now to feature your creation at the Gingerbread Wonderland.  Holiday Swag WorkshopBoard Members Sue and Steve George are combing the land to find evergreen branches for their upcoming “Holiday Swag Workshop” on Saturday, November 11th. Steve told us yesterday that he found lovely, fragrant branches from the White or Concolor Fir (Abies concolor) and Sue will be shopping for spectacular ribbons to enliven your holiday decorating. The Friends Are Going to Ireland in 2013We are thrilled that a number of you have already sent in your deposits and signed up for our 2013 trip to Ireland. There are only a few places left, so if you are interested, don't delay! Read all about the trip and send in your deposit now. Remember, you can use a credit card on-line for the deposit.
