Bus Trip to the Chihuly Exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden

Join The Friends as we experience a guided tour of the breathtaking works of art created by world-renowned artist, Dale Chihuly, currently on exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden.

Come and see the Garden’s dramatic vistas as they become living canvases for his work, some of which have been created specifically for NYBG. Three new works, reflecting the interplay and movement of color and light, will enliven the water features of the Native Plant Garden and the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory’s Tropical Pool.

The Exhibit will showcase more than 20 installations of his brilliantly colored, shapes, as well as drawings and early works that reveal the evolution and development of Chihuly’s artistic process during his celebrated career.

After the tour, explore any of the many other wonderful gardens this spectacular place has to offer such as the Rock Garden, Perennial Garden, Ladies Border and Seasonal Walk. You may also wish to visit the Home Gardening Center which includes a series of model gardens and display areas designed to demonstrate how to create a beautiful oasis in your own backyard. Included in the price is an optional narrated tram ride which offers an overview of the Gardens’ 250 acres and its history with nine stops that allow you to hop off and explore areas of your choice.

Enjoy lunch on your own at the Pine Tree Café or the Hudson Garden and Grille, and don’t forget to save time to visit the fabulous Garden Shop which offers plants, pots, books, botanical inspired jewelry, home accessories and more.
