Your Friends Dollars At Work

At a recent Friends Board meeting four grants were approved for the Morris County Park Commission:

  • A grant for 4 new teakwood chairs for the Waterwise Deck – plan on visiting the deck this summer with a good book to read
  • A grant for the creation of Plant Pods – these big bins will be filled to the brim with fun and educational projects for students in grades k-3. Teachers may rent Plant Pods by the month.
  • A grant for a Cutting garden Gardener – this PT Seasonal Gardener will care for the cutting garden, from which our beautiful floral arrangements are created
  • A grant for the Helen Hesselgrave Internship – this PT Seasonal Gardener will assist the grounds crew in maintaining our lovely gardens

These are some of the ways in which your program and membership dollars work to support The Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

If you are reading this email and are not a member, please join now. (click here to do so on-line) and help us to continue our work.
