Family Day Cancelled

This Sunday’s Family Day program, What’s the Buzz? must be cancelled due to very low registration. We guess that all you Family Members are on vacation or at camp!

We are going to re-schedule our Member Benefit FAMILY DAY event for this FALL. Be on the lookout for the next issue of Arboretum Leaves and mark your calendars for SCARECROWS in the GARDEN, which will be FREE to all FAMILY members.


Berkshire Blast

Last week’s trip to the Berskhires was, indeed, a blast. Click on the picture at right to see some nice images from the trip.

Celebrating Hostas

Saturday July 12 from 12Noon - 4pm the Tri State Hosta Society presents “Celebrating Hostas,” an exhibit of Hosta leaves in vases, arrangements and containers.

It should be fun, so come along and learn about this “workhorse in the garden” plant.

Flower Arranging for Beginners

The plethora of perennials inspires the flower arranger in all of us.

Cold Food for Hot Summer Days

The dog days are upon us.

Shut off the stove and come to “Cold Food for Hot Summer Days.” Chef Cynthia is preparing and serving gazpacho, cucumber rounds with red pepper hummus, a main course salad featuring brie and pears, aperol spritzers ( a liquor made from rhubarb and other fruits) and raspberry fool.

Matilda’s Cafe is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October from 10am -5pm. Call 973-394-1100 for the menu and to reserve a nice box lunch!

Bring your laptop or tablet – the Café has WIFI! Or, bring a magazine and enjoy your lunch on the Waterwise Deck.
