Matilda's Tea Party

Chocolate is on everyone’s mind as we approach Valentine’s Day.

At the 12th Annual Matilda’s Tea Party on Saturday February 21, children will learn chocolate history and trivia, eat a lot of it, and then make some chocolate treats to take home.

What fun! All to celebrate Matilda Frelinghuysen's childhood, spent here at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

Register on-line now.

Community Garden Conference

At this time of year, it would be nice to have canned or preserved some of this past summer’s bounty.

If you are interested in learning more about how to “Preserve Your Harvest,” then you will want to attend the Community Garden Conference on Saturday March 7.

Click the flyer image at right for more information and registration.

Three Weeks Till The Flower Show

Our trip to the Philadelphia Flower show is planned just right. We leave after the rush hour and come home a bit late to avoid traffic on the return trip.

We want to maximize your enjoyment of the show!

You can bring a lunch to enjoy on the bus or take an hour out and visit the Reading Terminal Market. There’s a wide variety of menu offerings there – everything from soul food to falafel.

Register here for the Thursday March 5th trip.

Wedding News

The Frelinghuysen’s gardens are locked in an icy white covering, but there was a lot of activity in the Haggerty Education Center’s auditorium last week.

The Westin Hotel, home of our Retail Partner, The Blue Morel Restaurant, is planning to offer weddings here. Look at the transformation of the usually staid space into a beautiful event hall (click the images to enlarge).

Their Bridal Show is coming up soon, in case you are planning a wedding, this is an event you may want to consider attending (click on flyer at right).
