New Year's Party!

What a turn-out for a fabulous program this past Sunday by the always engaging Marta McDowell. For all the wonderful things Lesley Parness, Superintendent of Horticulture, has done for The Friends and the Arboretum over the years we say a BIG thank you and wish you all the best on your next adventure. You will be missed!

Here is a great picture from Sunday!

Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen presents Lesley Parness with flag flown over the United States Capitol in her honor!

If you were at the party you no doubt noticed the beautiful floral arrangements and stylish recycle bin for all our plastic plates, cups and utensils. We can thank Linda Pastorino, Membership Co-Chair, for it all and for helping us green-up our events.

Judging by the success of our eco-conscious endeavor, we expect you will see more of this going forward.
