The 2017 Benjamin C. Blackburn Scholarship was awarded to Hunter Hildebrant, a Hackettstown, NJ resident and County College of Morris student enrolled in the Garden Center Management program of the Landscape and Horticulture Department.

After her father passed away in 2012, Hunter and her family took the reins of Roy Hildebrant's farm and continue to bring fresh farm produce to those in urban communities as was her father's dream.

Hunter has a strong work ethic with a solid background in greenhouse production and retail management and is an exceptional student. The Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and the North American Rock Garden Society are delighted to support Hunter in her studies this year.
