Announcements as of April 22, 2020

All Morris County parks, including the Frelinghuysen, Willowwood and Bamboo Brook Arboreta, are closed to the public until further notice. See the current announcement on the Morris County Parks Commission's website.

We will keep you posted as later news becomes available.

The Covid-19 epidemic has caused serious disruptions to all the students and faculty at County College of Morris, so we have decided to postpone awarding a Blackburn Scholarship until next year. Best wishes to all of you and stay healthy.

For the foreseeable future, we will be publishing eblasts every two weeks instead of weekly. The next eblast will go out on May 6, 2020.

Virtual Tour of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum Grounds

Since you are unable to stroll the gardens at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum in person due to the COVID-19 closure, we thought you might enjoy taking a virtual tour of the grounds via this 2016 video.

Please note that although the video mentions the Friends' Annual Plant Sale, as you know, we will not be holding the Plant Sale this year.

Also, note that Matilda's no longer functions as a Cafe. Occasional art classes are held there instead.

We are in the process of having a new drone video taken of the Tulips that are blooming at the Arboretum. Please watch our website and the eblast over the next week or so for this video. In the meantime, enjoy these lovely photos taken by Ann Fahey and Kristin Prommel.
