The Frelinghuysen, Willowwood and Bamboo Brook Arboreta, are closed to the public until further notice. See the current 8-page announcement on the Morris County Parks Commission's website for this and other park closings.

Join us virtually to learn the importance of supporting our native wildlife with Dr. Randi Eckel of Toadshade Wildflower Farm. Learn about some of the creatures that rely upon specific plants, and discuss the complexities of attracting rare wildlife (rare butterflies, for example) to our gardens.

After you register, you will receive a Zoom link 24 hours prior to the event. If paying by check, payment must be received to our new PO Box (PO Box 2267, Morristown, NJ 07962) by June 19, 2020. Please email with any questions.

This program is eligible for 2.0 Rutgers Master Gardener CEU's.

The Friends will be sponsoring free biweekly Zoom talks with Morris County Master Gardeners starting June 25th.

In celebration of National Pollinator Week, our first talk will be on 'Paradise Gardens for Pollinators & Wildlife' by Gail DiDomenico. This one-time Zoom presentation will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 25th and will be limited to 100 participants.

After you register, you will receive a Zoom link 24 hours prior to the event. Please email with any questions.

Cost: Registration for this event is free and will open on Friday, June 19.

Rutgers Community Garden Lunch & Learn Series

Rutgers Cooperative Extension announced a community gardening Lunch and Learn series that begins Wednesday May 27 that continues through July 1.

The lectures will be held on Wednesdays from noon to 1pm. Click on the flyer for more details.


We have just received the completed video of the Tulip plantings at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum and we are very anxious to share it with you. We know it's not the same as strolling the Arboretum grounds, but we hope you enjoy this virtual tour of the lovely Tulips in full bloom.
