Great Spring Weekend Coming Up!

We just sent out a new Email Blast to everyone who has signed up. If you haven't done so as yet (or if somehow your subscription has gone awry), then check out the instructions here for how to get this regular update in your mailbox.

Here are some news updates for this gorgeous Spring day:

  • Don't forget the 11th Annual Blackburn Scholarship Tea on Wednesday, April 7th. This event helps fund the Blackburn Scholarship granted by the Friends, and gives you the opportunity to hear acclaimed floral designers Debbie Budd and Mary Ryan from The Rose and Radish in Whitehouse Station.
  • We are having another Garden Art Swap on Sunday, April 25th. Convert your "Junk" into objets d'art and have fun at the same time. Better yet, attend the talk by Pegi Ballister-Howells, author of "New Jersey Gardening Guide" and "Month by Month Gardens in New Jersey" and radio host of WCTC-AM's "The Garden Show," entitled "Four Seasons of Color". She will give you a sneak preview of many of the great plants available at the Friends Plant Sale, the next weekend
  • The 15th Annual Friends Plant Sale kicks off Friday, April 30th with the Members-only Party and Sale, and continues Saturday May 1st with the open-to-all Main Event. Our Plant Sale page has tons of information -- Plant Tidbits, On-line Plant List, Organic Vegetables. You name it, we've got it!

Be sure to walk around the Arboretum soon. The flowering trees are stunning, as are the bulbs.
