Grow Your Groceries: Preserve the Harvest

Jeanne Lardino, Frelinghuysen Arboretum Gardener and Cynthia Triolo, Chef and Master Gardener team up to present programs focusing on the Barkman Vegetable Garden. We look at vegetables at their peak in the garden and discuss their requirements for optimal growth. They will have tips on harvesting, recipes to share and storage information.

Each program in this series is eligible for 1.5 Rutgers Master Gardener CEU’s.

The season is winding down and you need to know what to do with all the veggies still growing in the garden, especially before first frost. We cover several techniques for preserving your harvest so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor into the winter months.
