Grow Your Groceries: Starting with Seeds

Get your hands dirty and your vegetable garden off to the right start in this seed starting workshop led by Frelinghuysen Arboretum Gardener Jeanne Lardino and Horticultural Program Specialist Cynthia Triolo.

Some plants do best when their seeds are sown directly in the ground. Others don’t like to be transplanted while some don’t mind at all. Some prefer the cold and some like it hot. Some need a good soaking and some need to be scratched up to get going. Jeanne demystifies it all for you and Cynthia will whip up something good to eat using, you guessed it... seeds.

Seeds, soil, and planting trays are provided.

This program is eligible for 1.5 Rutgers Master Gardener CEU’s.
