People have built labyrinths since earliest recorded history. Found all over the world, a labyrinth is a single, winding one-way path which leads into and back out of a central space. A labyrinth is a tool for meditation and problem solving, it is not a maze. The path to the labyrinth’s center is clear and in full view at all times. There is no correct way to walk a labyrinth, and each journey is personal.
Made of stones and set in a shady glade, our labyrinth was constructed as part of the “Hope Blooms: A Walk of Remembrance,” a program presented by Good Grief of Morristown. Follow the path past the Frelinghuysen Mansion and make a left at the Shade Garden. Take your Labyrinth Walk year round, daily from 8am- dusk.
