What’s So Great About...Native Perennials

A monthly seasonal garden series taking an informal look at a specific aspect of the gardens of the Arboretum. These will be outdoor programs as much as possible so dress for the weather.

The ability of perennials to produce striking foliage and flowers repeatedly is what makes them so popular amongst gardeners. Our native perennials endure winter weather and return with vigor in spring or summer without much help from us.

Tour the Lindner Perennial Garden to see a great example of a well-tended perennial garden.

Each program in the series is eligible for 1.0 Rutgers Master Gardener CEU’s.
