ANNOUNCING THE FRIENDS' NEW WEBSITE

2022 VIRTUAL TREE SYMPOSIUM

Four consecutive Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM

November 1, 8, 15 and 22

Register for individual programs at $10 for members or $15 for non-members or register for all four programs and pay $30 for members or $45 for non-members.

TODAY AT THE FRELINGHUYSEN ARBORETUM

A crisp, clear fall day following yesterday's rain. The bees were all over the Asters in the Blue Garden in front of Matilda's Cottage; there's a pretty Chrysanthemum blooming in the side garden next to Matilda's and don't you just love the dark purple leaves outlined in red of the Smoke Bush (Cotinus)?

SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENTS

PANDEMIC SCHEDULE

Morris County Park Commission has reopened the Frelinghuysen, Willowwood and Bamboo Brook Arboreta 7 days a week, from 8am to dusk.

  • Parking is limited. Buildings remain closed. Portajohns are available.
  • HUNTING IN THE PARKS - Be aware that deer hunting is permitted in many of the MCPC facilities, including the arboreta, during the fall and winter. The schedule and type (bow or firearm) is listed on the MCPC website here.
